Description
The State of Wisconsin Health Services Building is a beautiful representative of the Art Deco style that was so prevalent in the 1920's and 1930's architecture.
The west wing of the building was started in 1932, with the middle and east wings following in 1938. (National Register of Historical Places, "State Office Building", "Madison", "Dane", "Wisconsin", "82000658").
Arthur Peabody was the architect for this building as well as numerous historical buildings thru out the state of Wisconsin. Many of the University of Wisconsin buildings where designed or directed by him as he was the campus architect (per Wikipedia).
