Autumn is one of my favorite times of year and is one of the most beautiful times to take a drive thru the countryside of Wisconsin. I photographed this homestead in the Amish area in central Wisconsin just as the trees were starting to change. Upon seeing this farm, as we came around the bend in the road, a sense of coming home came to mind. This scene evoked visions of a fire in the hearth and a pot of bubbly goodness on the stove with homemade bread in the oven. Grandma's kitchen would always have a plate of cookies or pie on the counter. These memories bring us back to a time of tradition and security that warm our hearts and why we have an immediate sense of coming home.
Digital painting was applied to enhance the photography.
