Description
Llama's were believed to have originated in North America and migrated to South America were they were used as pack animals and meat in the Andean cultures. They are social animals which thrive in herds. They are beneficial to farms as they are very intelligent animals and learn their tasks quickly. Their wool also provides a lanolin fee, soft product for farmers and crafters to spin and make wool mittens, caps and blankets (per Wikipedia).
This photo was taken on a farm just outside of Mauston, Wisconsin.
